Australia’s first-ever holographic fashion show has been created by Newcastle agency Enigma and launched in November 2012 to Australia’s media, bloggers, consumers and VIP’s at Melbourne Central.
The holographic fashion show was shot in Sydney at The Front Studios in Alexandria with renowned Australian stylist Kate Gaskin. Gaskin translated key-looks from Melbourne Central retailers and well-known Australian faces such as MTV presenter Kate Peck and Corbin Harris. Female DJ duo The Faders made special guest appearances throughout the show. It was created in partnership with T7 Events and Fusion Technology
Enigma created the state-of-the-art virtual show to launch the GPT Group’s digital campaign for its leading Australian shopping destination Melbourne Central. The campaign includes a new Smartphone app.
“The fashion show was filmed on Enigma's Red Epic camera then taken into our creative suites where the live-action footage of the show was integrated with hologram and 3D technology as well as music sound design and sound engineering.”
The holographic runway show and Smartphone app were launched on Wednesday 28th November on-site at Melbourne Central and customers were also invited to view the holographic runway show at various sessions held throughout the day.

Enigma is proud to be a Leadership Partner for the first-ever TEDxNewy event on Saturday 12 November.
TED is a nonprofit organisation devoted to ‘ideas worth spreading’; local, self-organised events are branded TEDx.
Our creative team created bumper animation to celebrate Newcastle’s iconic elements - its architecture, its environment and its creative edge.
“All local footage of these key elements has been dynamically shot using Enigma’s new Red Epic camera
“Symmetrical line art and geometrical shapes will be animated into the footage to give a representation of networking between two elements, evolution, symmetry in the environment, beauty in the city’s decay and modernism in architecture, technologies, design and entertainment.”
Crew on the bumpers included:
Luke Amman and Brett Piva: concept/art direction/editing and compositing
Aaron Haberfeild: DP
Jamie Lewis: CD
Luke Tuckerman: Account Manager
Glenn Cogan: Head of Production

We were thrilled to recently help out the guys at DMCI on this cool presenter for the PromaxBDA conference. Aaron and Glenn spent the day in Sydney with the DMCI team and our new RED Epic putting it to the test with some amazing dancers. We used our RED lenses (17-50mm, 50-150mm, 300mm) which we're extremely happy with.
Most shots were around 100 fps with the back flip/front flip at 300fps.
It's was fantastic opportunity to work with some great people, crew on the day were:
Director: Nathan Drabsch
DOP: Simon Chapman
Camera Operators: Aaron Haberfield & Glenn Cogan (Enigma)
Producer: Amy Nguyen
Talent Co-Ordinator: Briony Luschwitz (Motion Picture Company)
